 Haori

Japanese men's clothing is very conservative and blacks, grays and browns are the usual colors.The lining of the overcoat, Haori, is where the Japanese men express their interests.  The lining, which is only glimpsed as the Haori is removed, shows the motifs that might be of special interest to the wearer, such as theater, poetry, mountain drawings that remind him of his birth place, etc. 

The Haori is all hand stitched and the seams are hidden, therefore it can be turned inside out and worn as Western clothing, for both men and women, or displayed as a beautiful work of art.
